Innovative Pathways for Youth Employability and Digital Agency (EN/FR)

Friday, June 5, 2026 12:00 – 13:15

Room: Omanye III

EN/FR interpretation available

Africa’s labour markets are shifting faster than education systems can respond. For many young people, the transition from learning to earning is no longer linear, predictable, or secure. This session explores emerging pathways that connect skills development more directly to opportunity, from active and practice-based learning to digital and transversal skills, entrepreneurship, and community-anchored models. Contributions highlight how digital tools are opening routes into work, further education, and enterprise, while enabling young people to create, adapt, and navigate their own trajectories. The focus is on approaches that hold up in practice: what leads to real opportunities, what remains out of reach, and how more viable pathways can be built at scale.
