eLearning Africa's formats reflect the diverse ways in which the conference supports knowledge exchange for all education, training and skills development stakeholders.

Discovery Demos

Discovery demos showcase tools, next generation materials and pre-release products for learning and training. Participants can move freely around the room to join the different demos.

Discovery Demos are market-style sessions designed to showcase innovative technology-supported learning tools, applications, or courses in an interactive, informal setting.

These sessions take place concurrently in the same room, where each speaker is allocated a table to set up their hands-on demonstration. Participants move freely around the room, engaging with demos that interest them most in a “show and tell” format.

Speakers focus on:

  • Providing a brief explanation of their tool or service
  • Highlighting market readiness
  • Showcasing unique features

This format encourages one-on-one or small-group interactions rather than formal presentations, promoting direct dialogue and exploration.

Guidelines for Discovery Demos:

  • Slides cannot be used, as data projectors will not be provided.
  • To ensure clear visibility and a smooth session flow, banners are not allowed inside the room.

Distribution of promotional materials is reserved for partners with signed agreements. Unauthorised distribution is prohibited.

Knowledge Exchange Sessions

Interactive sessions focused on casual discussions, to share knowledge, stories and experiences related to a specific topic.

A Knowledge Exchange Session is a session designed to focus on knowledge sharing and networking.

These sessions are informal and interactive, providing participants with the opportunity to introduce themselves and engage in open discussions without a moderator.

To make the most of this format, speakers are encouraged to:

  • Share concise and relevant stories.
  • Include practical examples and personal experiences.
  • Prepare questions to engage your audience actively.
  • Prioritise interactivity and dialogue to make your session memorable and actionable.

These sessions are conducted in small groups with limited capacity to promote meaningful discussions.

Distribution of promotional materials is reserved for partners with signed agreements. Unauthorised distribution is prohibited.

Note: The organisers reserve the right to suggest a different type of format than the one submitted depending on the needs of the overall programme.
