Transforming Secondary Education: System-Level Strategies and School-Driven Innovation (EN/FR)

Thursday, June 4, 2026 14:30 – 16:00

Room: TBA

EN/FR interpretation available

Secondary education is under pressure to reach more learners, improve outcomes, and do so within tight resource constraints. Change is emerging from two directions: system-level reform and practical innovation on the ground. This session brings together national and district initiatives building digital infrastructure, data systems and governance frameworks that extend provision, support teachers, and enable more consistent delivery at scale. In parallel, schools, libraries and local actors are testing what works in practice, from competency-based approaches to personalised and AI-supported learning, and more inclusive models in low-resource environments. The focus is on what holds, what scales, and where the gap remains between system design and classroom reality.
