Rural Digital Access & Infrastructure Innovation (EN)

Thursday, June 4, 2026 16:30 – 17:45

Room: Kumasi

Expanding digital access in rural and hard-to-reach communities requires solutions that reflect local conditions. This session examines approaches that address connectivity gaps, device scarcity, and infrastructure limitations through solar-powered systems, offline-first architectures, community-driven inclusion strategies, and national-scale digital grids. Contributions focus on how access can be extended in practice, enabling learners in rural areas to participate more fully in digital education regardless of bandwidth, geography or cost.
