Ethiopia’s e-SHE programme is demonstrating how open-source technology, national leadership, and coordinated partnerships can transform higher education at scale. The initiative uses the Open edX platform which has connected more than 250,000 learners across 50 universities, trained 35,000 educators in digital pedagogy, and established regional multimedia creation hubs to strengthen local content production.
