Africa's DPI for Education: A Look Inside RESPECT (EN)
Friday, June 5, 2026 11:45 – 12:45
Across Africa, brilliant courseware developers are building educational tools that could transform learning, but they're trapped. Trapped by fragmented markets where every country demands different standards. Trapped by connectivity assumptions that ignore the reality of rural schools. Trapped by platforms that stop working the moment the internet drops. RESPECT exists because African developers and African learners deserve infrastructure that works on Africa's terms - offline-first, multilingual, interoperable, and sovereign. This session opens the hood on that infrastructure and puts it to the test live, because the question isn't whether Africa can build world-class EdTech. It's whether we can build the rails that let it reach every classroom.
