Biography
Trina has led visioning and strategic planning work with Ministries of Education, served on Boards, supported growth for networks, institutions and organisations, and has presented at multiple national, international, and global conferences. She currently serves as Chair for the Commission on Technology and Distant Education and is an Executive Board Member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and the 26-member global accrediting organisations, and as the Chair and Founder of GlobalED, an internationally recognised teacher credentialing organisation focused on education, workforce mobility, and the portability of globally recognised credentialing in a secure digital environment.
Her 2014 book How Technology Transforms Pedagogy, The Systemic Reform of Education, and studies of international online school systems, demonstrated Trina’s capacity as a highly successful education industry executive with extensive expertise and experience leading and innovating EdTech, online K-20 schools, and professional development-adult learning programmes, Trina is an education innovator and entrepreneur. She has driven organisational growth by providing vision, strategy, planning and design, academic and operational leadership, international expansion and strategic development.
Named by EdTech Digest 2017, 2018, and 2022 as a Top Ten Ed Tech International CEO of the year, and featured as an EdTech analyst in EdWeek SmartBrief, Trina is an award-winning education leader and author who enjoys sharing her passion for education and innovation with global audiences.
