Biography
Dr Robert Kisusu successfully completed Doctorate Degree (PhD) from Sokoine University of Agriculture Tanzania in 2003. His Doctorate dedicated on agricultural economics focusing in rural development. He holds MSc in Agricultural Economics from University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) in 1992 and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management at the Institute of Financial Management Tanzania in 1985 and was successfully awarded an Advanced Diploma in Economic Planning Mzumbe University Tanzania in 1982.
Dr Kisusu was a civil servant with the Government of Tanzania for over 35 years and now is retired. With that period, he possesses long and wide understanding on issues relating to central and local government administration. Dr Kisusu recognized as a veteran civil servant and academician who has been engaged in a long list of social – economic researches and publication in the local, international journals and Chapters in the international publisher’s books. He holds distinct and substantial research and publications focusing on rural development and poverty alleviation for the poor. Most of his research areas include agriculture, livestock, education, human development, gender in development, finance, good governance, e-government, religion, rural economy sectors and strategic planning. He was a Rector cum Senior Lecturer (2009 -2011) at a public owned Local Government Training Institute Dodoma Tanzania. After retirement, Principal at private owned training institute. Holds Associate Professorship and Development Researcher with Kowak Training College and St Collins Vocational Training Centre Tanzania. Dr Kisusu works on temporary basis with mentioned institutions.
