Biography
Lordina Omanhene-Gyimah is a Deputy Head Education Specialist at Opportunity International EduFinance in Ghana. She provides training and school development resources to more than 600 low-fee private schools, helping to build the capacity of school leaders and teacher mentors, while also supporting other Education Specialists across Ghana.
Lordina is also championing access to quality education using generative AI, to support affordable private schools in the Opportunity EduFinance programme in Ghana, through the creation of the Teacher Assistant Bot. This Bot supports teachers in creating contextualized and differentiated lesson plans using the national curriculum, for all levels in basic school education in Ghana.
Prior to joining the Opportunity International Edufiance, Lordina worked in an International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) certified school where she taught English, Social Studies, and French, facilitated the Learning Resource Center, and specialized in helping Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Lordina also worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the French Lab of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration during her National Service.
Lordina holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Ghana Institute of Management and public Administration, Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts Degree (French major, English minor) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, as well as a Diploma Certificate in French Studies from the University of Abomey Calavi, in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
