Biography
Handson Fingi Mlotshwa is an educational technologist based at the Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance in Gauteng Province, South Africa. He serves as the Executive Director for ICT Programmes, where he is responsible for conceptualizing and developing e-learning solutions for schools.
Mlotshwa is a continuing Fellow of the Cambridge HP Ed Tech Fellowship partnership (UK) since 2023 and is also a member of the HP Council for Ending Learning Poverty. In 2018, he contributed to the review of the UNESCO ICT Curriculum Framework for Teachers in Hammamet, Tunisia, as part of the ICT CFT network of experts.
He is a strong advocate for Open Educational Resources (OER) and has developed learning programs published on the OER Commons Hub. Mlotshwa holds a Master of Education with a specialization in Educational Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School. In 2015, he was recognized as the best teacher in technology-enhanced teaching and learning by the Gauteng Department of Education. He has also published research on ICT integration into teaching and learning, as well as on teacher perceptions and practices regarding the use of virtual and augmented reality in education.
