Biography

Dr. Ernest Francis Mabonesho is the Chief Executive Officer and Rector of the Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC). He is a seasoned academic, strategist, and leader with over 14 years of managerial experience in higher education and institutional development. Dr. Mabonesho holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in International Accounting and Financial Studies from the University of Strathclyde, UK, as well as a Bachelor of Education in Commerce from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has served in various leadership roles, including Deputy Principal for Planning, Finance and Administration at TPSC, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, Banking and Finance at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM), and Head of the Accounting and Finance Department at IFM. His career spans academia, consultancy, and the private sector, with prior experience as a banker and financial controller. Dr. Mabonesho is also the General Secretary of the African Association of Development Learning Centers (AADLCs). Fluent in both English and Swahili, he is recognized for his ability to inspire teams, refine institutional strategies, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. His expertise lies in accounting, finance, research, and capacity building for public service transformation.
