Biography

Efua Adabie is an educator and school leader with over 20 years of experience shaping learning across Africa. As Co-Founder of Breaking Doors Foundation and Founding Principal of the African Science Academy, she has focused on expanding access to STEM pathways for students from under-resourced backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on equity and outcomes.

Her work sits at the intersection of STEM education, gender equity, and technology integration. She has led digital-first teaching and learning initiatives as Head of Science and Technology at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, and contributed to global education reform through her role on the College Board International Advisory Committee, supporting the transition to digital SAT formats in ways that better reflect diverse student contexts.
