Viesturs Berzins

Biography

Viesturs Berzins is a young Latvian professional and scholar who holds an MSc in Development and International Relations from Aalborg University, Denmark. Mr Berzins represents the Latvian Development Cooperation Agency, yet he also has extensive experience working with youth. He is the president of the youth NGO YATA Latvia (Youth Atlantic Treaty Association, Latvian chapter) and teaches at the University of Latvia.

Mr Berzins works closely with the Central Asian region, but he also has a strong passion for the East African region. His academic work includes publications on disinformation and strategic narratives, with a focus on the Arctic and Baltic regions.

Despite his young age, Mr Berzins has consistently used it to his advantage, linking his already developed experience with fresh, youthful perspectives.
