Biography
Valentin Weislämle (60) set up the dual study program for tourism management at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Lörrach 20 years ago, which he still leads today. In his course, he trains young managers for companies across the entire spectrum of the tourism value chain. In addition to his teaching activities in quantitative methods, digitalization and management, he leads international research projects in the field of sustainable tourism. He holds mandates in various companies and tourism committees. He also manages tourism projects and advises tourism companies and organizations. After studying economics, he received his doctorate in the field of empirical economic research. After a few years as a research assistant, he moved to a large financial services provider as head of market research and marketing. He then headed digital content sales at the European market leader for tourist information.
