Biography
Since receiving a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, Valencia Lyle has been building her proficiency in health system strengthening and global health research. Valencia further strengthened her expertise in these areas after joining the Health Management Information System (HMIS) Unit of the Rwanda Ministry of Health as a Global Health Corps fellow in July 2017. As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Officer, Valencia provides support to HMIS Unit staff through analyzing data, developing eLearning courses for the MoH eLearning platform, and evaluating the learning outcomes of eLearning participants. Her medley of past and current work experiences drive her enthusiasm for integrating technology into health systems to achieve health and gender equity.
