Biography

Tesfaye Habtemariam Gezahegn with a PhD from Addis Ababa University is an assistant professor of Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He started his job as an upper primary school English Language Teacher 27 years ago at Konso, Ethiopia holding a two-year teacher training diploma in English Language Teaching and Literature. Tesfaye continued to upgrade himself and attended his M.Ed. at the affiliated College of St. Mark and St. John, Plymouth, the UK. He has then joined Arba Minch University to work as a lecturer in  October 2008 and he still works at Arba Minch University. His current publication with a PhD candidate he is supervising has focussed on 'Effects of information communication technology-assisted teaching training on English language teachers’ pedagogical knowledge and English language proficiency'.   Along with his teaching, research and supervision activities, Tesfaye is now the Executive Research Director of Arba Minch University.
