Biography
Dr Sylvia Ndapewa Ithindi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Languages at Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Windhoek, Namibia. She holds a PhD in Humanities Education from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a Master of Education in Literacy and Learning from the University of Namibia. Dr Ithindi is a literacy education expert. Apart from the field, she teaches departmental linguistic courses. Her research interests focus on students' reading habits, language teaching methods, and multiliteracies pedagogy's transformative role. Her passion for excellence in education and institution blossoms beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her record of supervising postgraduate research studies at postgraduate programmes in other universities in Namibia. Recently, she has developed a very strong interest in AI and its usability in the fields of linguistics and language studies.
