Biography
Suresh Munbodh,B.Sc.Hons. (Lond), PGDE, MSc (University of East Anglia), FRSC, CCHEM, CSci, Specialist Educational Planning and Administration (UNESCO-IIEP). He is also Fellow: European Development Fund, Economic Development Institute - World Bank, Operation Crossroads Africa. He is a USAID and a Commonwealth Scholar. He was the Secretary, amongst others, to the Commission of Enquiry on Pre-primary and Primary Education, the first Education Award Committee, the Committee which recommended the setting up of the Tertiary Education Commission; the Coordinator and Head of the Lycée Polytechnique, Mauritius. He created and established the Industrial and Vocational Training Board, which became the first institution for the coordination and development of training in Mauritius. Suresh is currently an international consultant and Managing Director of Global Learning, a private tertiary education institution that provides around 25 different courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, using ICT for efficient and effective learning. The institution was awarded the best practice certificate in 2008 by the COL – UNESCO/UNEVOC for using ICT to make job-related personalized post-secondary education accessible, available and affordable to a much wider population.
