Stacey Rontiris

Biography

Stacey Rontiris is the Director of Learning Innovation at BluLever Education, an innovative educational vocational startup based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Launched in 2019, BluLever’s mission is to empower Africa’s artisans by creating industry-aligned training to bridge the gap between workers and employer demand. BluLever offers skills-based Apprenticeships and business programs for Plumbers and Electricians, equipping young adults and businesses with in-demand skills to secure jobs and doors to economic opportunity.

As a Counselling Psychologist, Stacey has worked in the higher education space for over 10 years first at the University of Johannesburg and then the non-profit organisation, the Tomorrow Trust where she worked for 7 years. Stacey joined BluLever Education in 2021 as the Director of Learning. Her work over the past two years has focused on building and scaling Apprenticeship Programmes while creating a supportive, compassionate and empowering student experience. Her passion is to enable youth to unlock their full potential through skills development, opportunities and experiences. Recently, Stacey made the transition into Director of Learning Innovation at BluLever; a role that will enable her to enhance existing programmes through research, design and innovation.
