Biography

Dr Vernocchi is a Senior Lecturer and eLearning Specialist with extensive experience in digital learning, instructional design, and curriculum innovation across higher education, industry, and international public-health training. A Certified Digital Learning Professional, she leads the development of LUNEX University’s digital education ecosystem and has designed large-scale online and blended training programmes for organisations such as BioNTech, Africa CDC, and the East African Community’s Regional Centre of Excellence. Her Africa-focused work includes developing competency-based curricula for biomanufacturing workforce development, designing and delivering fully online GMP and Quality Control training, and leading digital Train-the-Trainer initiatives that build sustainable instructional capacity across East Africa. She also contributed to the creation of the training offer for the Sèmè City Excellence Hub in Benin, including biomanufacturing and regulatory affairs programmes. Dr Vernocchi brings strong expertise in scalable digital pedagogy, cross-cultural collaboration, and capacity building, with a dedicated commitment to strengthening eLearning ecosystems and workforce development across the African continent.
