Biography
Ruth Bath is a Senior Trainer with the Secondary Teachers English Language Improvement Rwanda (STELIR) project, which she has supported since its inception in November 2022. The STELIR project is delivered in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation and implemented by the British Council in partnership with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB). On this project, Ruth manages the work and professional development of STELIR’s 86 online teacher trainers, ensuring they deliver high-quality training suitable for teachers with emerging digital skills.
Ruth is a passionate champion for inclusivity and representation in education. She draws on her experience living and working in 12 countries, initially as a teacher and then later as an academic manager and a teacher trainer. Ruth holds a Masters in Professional Development for Language Educators from NILE (Chichester University) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) from Cambridge.
