Biography
Rosine Urujeni has over 12 years of leadership experience across the non-profit and public sectors and currently serves as Director of External Relations at Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa). In this role, she leads strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization efforts to advance the institution’s mission and impact across the continent.
She played a pivotal role in establishing the Rwanda Cooperation Initiative, the country’s development cooperation agency, where she served as Chief Operations Officer and Acting CEO. During her tenure, she significantly enhanced the agency’s global visibility and led the development of South-South technical cooperation initiatives with partners across Africa and the Americas.
Prior to this, Rosine served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and was Country Director for Indego Africa in Rwanda, where she led strategy and operations focused on empowering women artisans through market access and capacity building.
