Biography

Mr Raj Kishore Bunjun, is a Mauritian National, with extensive experienced in Project Management, Economic Development issues especially pertaining to regional issues. He has shown strong team leadership with ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary environment and in pressure situations. He is a high calibre lecturer in Management, Human Resources and Economic Analysis for the last 29 years.

As far as his communication skills is concerned, he is very fluent in English and French whereas he has working knowledge in Hindi and creole.

In 1995, he received a Professional MBA from Faculty of Managements Studies - University of Delhi after he completed his BA (Hons) Economics with Mathematics, 1991. In addition, he has a Diploma in Computer Software & Data Processing,1991.

Being a government official, with full computer literacy with proficiency in Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, in the Republic of Mauritius for the past 43 years he holds the post of Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Human Resource. Apart from being a negotiator at international government level pertaining to projects / Public policies, he is actively engaged in project implementation and organisation of local as well as International Events.

When he is not working at his full-time job, he lectures Marketing, HR, Economics and Management at degree and postgraduate levels at the three Universities of Mauritius.

On the international front, In 1997, he acted as a Management Consultant, Central Cooperative Union, Kingdom of Swaziland where he was the Team Leader for a Consultancy Assignment commissioned by the International Co-operative Alliance Regional office for East, Central and Southern Africa, Tanzania for a feasibility study for the setting up of a wholesale business by the Central Co-operative Union. Thereafter, he was an Assistant Tourism-sector Coordinator, SADC Tourism Coordinating Unit, Mauritius in 1999, followed by being a Management Consultant, Namalambo Gerber Consultancy C.C., Republic of Namibia July 2000

He also conducted a Marketing Audit (International Consultancy) of the Tourism sector of the Republic of Namibia with specific reference to the twenty-two Government resorts and submitted an action plan for the implementation of the Namibia Wildlife Resorts Ltd in 1998.

Additionally, he became the first Executive Managing Director (EMD), Namibia Wildlife Resorts Ltd, Republic of Namibia in 1998 to turn around all the resorts in the National Parks of Namibia.

Moreover, he was a lead Consultant for USAID under the Namibia Small and Medium Enterprise Competitiveness Enhancement Program (SMED) specifically in the Tourism cluster, under Sigma One Corporation, Republic of Namibia in 2002.
