Biography

Dr. Philip Machoka is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and the Director of e-Learning at the United States International University - Africa (USIU-Africa). He has over 15 years of experience in higher education as a faculty and online education administrator. He is responsible for expanding the university’s online programs and serves as the Quality Matter Coordinator (QMC) for USIU-Africa. He has attended several online course design and delivery training and workshops. In addition, he has served as a peer reviewer on the (forthcoming) The SAGE Handbook of Online Higher Education and as a reviewer for Information Technology for Development journal. Dr. Machoka holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa.
