Biography
Dr Oluwakemi Olurinola is a university lecturer, researcher, and consultant in educational technology, and has a particular interest in applying Learning science and emerging technology to teaching and learning. She works at the Department of Science and Technology Education and trains teachers on Digital Pedagogies for 21st-century teaching. She hopes to redefine how Education is delivered and received in Africa. She is committed to promoting a culture of continuous improvement in education.
She was selected as a recipient of Google's inaugural Google Academic Research Award (GARA) to advance her research on AI in Pedagogy: Developing Literacy and Integration Guides (EDAIL) for Teachers in LMICs, This project aligns with Google's commitment to using AI to improve educational outcomes for all learners, focusing on equity and inclusivity
She is a leader in global education, an international speaker, and a teacher trainer. She is a MIEEXpert Fellow, a Microsoft Global Learning Mentor, a DigCit Institute Global Impactor, a Jacobs Foundation/MIT Solve Fellow, and a PhET STEM Fellow. The Lead Consultant at Exquitec Education Technology, leading the strategic vision for the innovative use of educational technology. A Microsoft Global Training Partner and served as a training partner/consultant with the UNESCO MGIEP.
