Biography
Olivia Davis-Mbou was born in Cameroon and was raised in Côte D’Ivoire, Kenya, Nigeria and Germany in a family of expats. After earning her Baccalaureate exam with Honors at the age of 17, she moved to Germany to study Computer Sciences at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
During her student time in the early 2000s, she developed a huge interest in the Internet and the opportunities it offered to connect people in the World and perform many tasks efficiently with the use of Web services.
After graduating as an engineer, she worked for several years at Accenture as an IT consultant in Europe and North America before joining her actual employer Lufthansa Industry Solutions, where she has been working as a manager in software engineering- and product maintenance- projects for over 10 years. Olivia is the founder of mapubi.eV, a non-profit-organization that aims at promoting knowledge exchange in IT, health care and environmental topics between Africa and the Western World. Since over 10 years she works towards educating youths and young leaders in Cameroon and Nigeria to solve problems in their communities by equipping them with IT and management training.
Olivia is fascinated by all innovations that have improved billions of lives in this informational age, therefore she has recently started a professional doctoral program in AI and Data Science to contribute towards enabling professionals or medical doctors to learn efficiently and making better career- or health care decisions. Olivia is married and a mother of 4 children. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, singing and traveling with her family.
