Biography
Olivia Kimani, Director of Partnerships and Services for Kenya at Worldreader, oversees locally-connected strategies for projects in East Africa. For over 20 years, she has created award-winning behavior change initiatives for multinational firms.
Olivia worked as a Creative Director at international advertising firms and as a Marketing Executive for global brands. Her award-winning communications efforts have benefited from her understanding of the East African market and user behavior.
Social and human impact campaigns she’s worked on are G-PANGE HIV Behavior Change digital marketing campaign which won the PRSK Digital Award; Man-UP anti-GBV campaign for the World Bank and LOGICA; and Break the Silence GBV campaign for Coalition on Violence Against Women, winning Gold at the APA Awards.
Olivia Kimani leads Worldreader in locally-connected strategies that uncover barriers to parental reading engagement and identifying facilitating factors in support of home reading.
