Biography
Ndung'u Kahihu is the executive director of the Nairobi-based NGO CAP Youth Empowerment Institute (CAP YEI) and CAP Workforce Development Institute (CAP WDI). He is engaged in training vulnerable youth in vocational and employability skills.
As digital technologies are vital to Kenya's economic growth and have great potential to create jobs and upskill young people, Ndung'u Kahihu will share lessons from a training program in vocational, technical, entrepreneurial, and life skills through a Learning Management System (LMS). The training has been offered to more than 4 000 "Opportunity Youth" since 2020, 73% of whom have successfully transitioned to employment and self-employment.
