Biography

Dr Mussa Ally Dida is the Dean of the School of Computational and Communication Sciences and Engineering (CoCSE) at NM-AIST.

Dr Dida holds a PhD in Information and Communication Systems Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). With a strong commitment to academic mentorship, he has successfully supervised or co-supervised 30 Master’s students and 7 PhD students to graduation, and has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in highly reputable journals.

As a Principal Investigator (PI) and Coordinator, he leads multiple high-impact projects, including KA 171 (Erasmus+ Mobility Programme), the DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Scheme, the Centre of Excellence for ICT in East Africa (CENIT@EA), and the Digital Skills for Innovative East Africa Industry (dSkills@EA).

His research expertise spans communication systems optimisation, embedded systems development, cybersecurity, IT system development, and AI integration.
