Biography
Mona Laroussi is a professor affiliated with both the University of Carthage in Tunis and the University of Lille in France. Her academic qualifications include a DEA, a Ph.D., and an academic habilitation, all in the field of Educational Technology.
Currently, Mona Laroussi serves as the Director of the Institute of the Francophonie for Education and TVET (IFEF), located in Dakar, Senegal. The IFEF operates under the auspices of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF), reflecting its significant role in the Francophone educational landscape.
Between September 2014 and September 2017, she contributed her expertise to the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) as the Executive Director of the Institut de la Francophonie pour l’Ingénierie de la Connaissance et la formation à distance (IFIC), further solidifying her reputation in the field.
Mona Laroussi's research is primarily focused on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), with a particular interest in Personalized Learning Environments (PEL). Her work explores the integration of adaptation and contextualization within learning environments, aiming to enhance the educational experience through technology.
Her contributions to the academic community extend beyond research; she is a (co-)author of numerous books and articles published in both international reviews and presented at national and international conferences. Through her work, Mona Laroussi continues to influence the evolving landscape of educational technology and personalized learning.
