Biography
Michael Walimbwa is a Lecturer at Makerere University in the Department of Foundations and Curriculum Studies.
With a PhD in Education from the University of Cape Town, his research focus is Educational Technology, ICTs in Education and Teacher Professional Development. Involved in Teacher Education and training since 2008, he teaches at both Graduate and Undergraduate including Electronic Learning Methods and Practices, Instructional Strategies, Instructional Design and Educational Technology, among others. Michael Malimbwa supports colleagues in digitalisation of courses and attaining the necessary digital competencies to enhance their eLearning. His philosophy is to embrace a community of practice approach to make Integration of ICTs into pedagogy interesting and rewarding.
