Mark Malaspina

Biography

Mr. Mark Malaspina currently serves as the Chief Product Officer, Skilling at the Wadhwani Foundation, a global not-for-profit with the primary mission of accelerating economic development by driving job creation through large-scale initiatives in skilling, entrepreneurship, government digital transformation, and innovation & and research. Founded by Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, the Foundation today is scaling impact across multiple countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America through innovative programs that leverage the latest technology and expansive global networks to democratize access to world-class resources needed to improve livelihood and change lives.

Mr. Malaspina is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader driving innovation and product development at the Wadhwani Foundation. 

Prior to joining the Wadhwani Foundation, Mr. Malaspina co-founded and served as President of The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill, an EdTech company renowned for providing data-driven learning solutions to over 20 million students worldwide. His entrepreneurial vision and drive played a pivotal role in molding the company's growth and influence within the education sector. He also served as President of PowerMyLearning, a national EdTech non-profit dedicated to providing innovative online and in-person learning programs to over one million students. Under his leadership, PowerMyLearning expanded its reach and effectiveness, empowering students with the tools and resources needed to succeed in the digital age.

Mr. Malaspina’s academic background includes a Master's in Public Administration in Economics & Public Policy from Princeton University, complemented by a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Yale University. His multidisciplinary expertise gives him a unique perspective on addressing complex challenges in education and skill development.
