Biography
Manuel Martín Lozano is a private sector development advisor at the Rwanda Development Board. He works with the Government of Rwanda to set up the biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, with focus on establishing the building blocks of these sectors and attracting investments. An important building block in this regard is human capital, and Manuel is working in creating an ecosystem to enable specialized talent development in pharma and biotech in Rwanda and Africa
Prior to working with the Rwanda Development Board, Manuel was advising governments in the Middle East on their economic development strategies and on building innovation and startup ecosystems. Formerly a management consultant, he has vast experience advising companies, mainly private equity firms, on their investment strategies. Manuel holds a double bachelor’s degree in Economics and Law from the University of Navarra in Spain and is actively involved in social impact projects across the globe.
