Biography

Magdy El Komy is a strategic EdTech innovator, currently serving as the Middle East and Africa Director for Pearson Education, where he oversees Certiport Skilling programmes. In this role, Magdy has played a key part in forging partnerships with governmental bodies and universities to address skills gaps across various economies, thereby enhancing employability.

Over the past eight years, Magdy has been committed to empowering learners by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed both academically and professionally.

With more than 17 years of experience in educational technology, he has led digital transformation initiatives across a wide range of contexts, including the United Kingdom, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, the UAE, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, Cameroon, Zambia, and Rwanda.

As the educational landscape continues to evolve and artificial intelligence reshapes how students learn and educators teach, Magdy remains focused on promoting skills-based learning experiences alongside traditional, knowledge-based education.
