Biography
Jonghyun works as a manager at the National IT Industry Promotion Agency(NIPA) of Korea. It is the largest ICT agency in South Korea and is aimed at developing ICT industries in Korea and abroad.
His main task is to support the overseas start-ups and to provide overseas information service consulting to partner countries.
"The K-Startup Grand Challenge" is the supporting program for overseas start-ups for acceleration in Korea, while the "Overseas information service consulting Program" supports projects by Master Plan, Feasibility Study and Pilot Project in partner countries.
This year, 38 teams from 20 countries are accelerating at this year's KSGC, and seven projects are underway in six countries through the overseas information service consulting program.
Jonghyun is an ICT specialist and researcher who is always interested in promoting economic growth and development effectiveness through ICT. He majored in media engineering and social welfare in college and finished the master's degree in international development. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in international development.
He has experience in the financial sector, including Samsung SDS, Industrial Bank, and DB, and currently works in the ICT public sector.
In the eLearning Africa 2019, he will introduce the K-Startup Grand Challenge program, which the gateway to Asia for African startups.
He prays that Africa will become a better world through ICT.
