Biography

Latirr Carr is a dynamic education innovator, project development consultant, and advocate for scalable learning transformation across Africa. He began his collaboration with Leap Learning during its pilot phase in The Gambia, then known as Alphabet King, where he served as the local implementing partner, helping adapt and deploy foundational literacy solutions within a local context.

He is also the founder of a transformational elementary school in The Gambia – Xalimba Academy for the Arts and Sciences, where Leap Learning forms the cornerstone of the teaching methodology, delivering consistently high learning outcomes. This hands-on implementation experience grounds his work in practical, results-driven innovation.

As a sub-regional representative for Leap Learning, Latirr works with partners across Africa to expand access to tailored, technology-enabled learning solutions, with a vision of achieving continent-wide presence. Using Xalimba Academy as a research centre, his team has successfully designed learning solutions and recommended tailored solutions for Leap Learning, which have become part and parcel of the Leap Learning methodology, serving users around the world.

In addition to his work in education, Latirr brings extensive experience as a project development consultant, working across both public and private sectors, supporting governments and large organisations in designing and implementing impactful initiatives.
