Biography
Julia Stanton has been a dedicated professional in the field of English Language teaching, training, and project management since 1998, with the majority of her career spent at the British Council. Her work spans across multiple regions, including South-East Asia and, more recently, Sub-Saharan Africa since 2015. Throughout her career, Julia has focused on English online learning and teacher training, helping educators enhance their skills and improve teaching standards.
Currently, Julia serves as the English Connects Lead, where she manages a program that supports individual teachers and teacher educators by providing access to online professional development opportunities, resources, and networks. Through her leadership, she continues to contribute significantly to the professional growth of English language educators, particularly in under-resourced regions, helping to improve the quality and accessibility of English language education.
