Biography
Joseph Obore is Ugandan by Nationality and a resident of Bukedea District in Eastern region. He holds a Bachelor of Development Studies from Makerere University. He founded and now working as Executive Director of the Action for Development of Grassroots Communities (ADEGCO) - a Rural-for-impact nonprofit empowering children with educational opportunities, youth & women with employability skills for meaningful paid & self employment. It also promotes adoption of green skills/practices for ecofriendly, healthy, green and sustainable plannet. He successfully designed several projects including the ADEGCO TechWaste Hub that seeks to change the narrative around waste management by leveraging technology, organizing waste collectors and giving incentives (cash & public recognition) while working with waste recycling companies, local governments, donors and individuals passionate about a clean, green and healthy environment for all. He is passionate about sustainable development and climate action.
