Biography
Jasson Ndanguzi is a seasoned ICT professional with over 15 years’ experience in driving digital transformation in Tanzania and beyond. His expertise encompasses ICT policy, regulation, and strategy, with a proven track record of influencing national, regional, and global digital agendas.
He currently serves at the Tanzania ICT Commission, the country’s principal institution for promoting ICT development. In this role, Jasson plays a pivotal part in the design of strategic ICT programmes, advising on policy, and leading initiatives that promote digital skills, innovation, SME empowerment, research, and investment.
He has worked extensively with government bodies, development partners, NGOs, and international organisations to advance digital transformation and address the digital divide.
Jasson holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and a Master’s in Telecommunications from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
He is registered as a Professional Engineer by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and as an ICT Professional by the ICT Commission. He has also undertaken specialised training in ICT, digital finance, and management through prestigious institutions such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the GSM Association (GSMA), a non-profit trade association representing mobile network operators worldwide.
