Biography
Heba Saleh is currently the Chairwoman of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), which is the main training affiliate of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. ITI’s mission is to develop human capital to actively contribute to the Egyptian ICT sector as well as the international market. This is the result of extensive experience she has gained in the field of human capacity building and development.
Heba Saleh holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Cairo University (1996), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Louisville, USA, and a PhD from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom (2014).
Over the course of 20 years of successful professional experience, and as a key contributor in the field of human capacity building and development, she has played a pivotal role in the design, formulation, and implementation of several national strategies for capacity building in the ICT sector.
At the African level, she is one of the first leaders in the sector to pursue strategic cooperation with African countries through the establishment of mutual partnerships. This was carried out within the framework of preparing and qualifying human resources and enhancing the capacity of African governments.
Heba Saleh is a member of the Computer Science Committee of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
She has published numerous research and scientific papers in the fields of business intelligence and data mining, with a focus on capacity-building frameworks and models.
