Biography
For more than a decade, Gertha has worked in the field of participation and education, both in public sector as well as in the civil society sector. These experiences include her work as an adult education lecturer in Tallinn University (Estonia) as well as an educational policy analyst in Praxis, one of the oldest think thanks in Estonia. This background allows her to combine both experiences in the field of teaching and learning of adults as well as policy analysis on educational policies. With her PhD studies, Gertha is focusing on the beneficial and harmful aspects of the ICT use in the classroom and in her publications, special attention has been given to teachers as mediators of ICT usage. Currently, she is the Programme Manager for Education in the Estonian Centre for International Development.
