Biography
Prof. Fredrick Mtenzi is a Faculty Member and an Associate Professor at the Aga Khan University, Institute for Educational Development – East Africa. Prof. Mtenzi's research interests range from designing secure mobile financial transactions in low-end mobile devices, cybersecurity auditing, and developing de-identification strategies, which increase the utility and privacy of sensitive information in the era of big data. Recently, he has been working on identifying and customizing open-source software that can be used in low-cost devices with the view of increasing the acceptability and utility of technology in teaching, learning, and research.
