Biography

Francisca Oladipo, Vice Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University and Professor of Computer Science, leads implementing machine-actionable FAIR Data Points on the observational health data for Africa, Asia and Europe. She is also a Fellow of the Pan-Africa Scientific Research Council. In addition, she designs programmes to increase female participation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Innovations (STEMi).

Previously, Professor Oladipo served as Director of Quality Assurance, member of the Governing Council, and Head of the Computer Science Department at Federal University. At Kampala International University (KIU), she served as the Director of Research, Innovations, and International Relations. While at KIU she was Executive Coordinator of the VODAN Initiative for the Africa and Asia Network. She has led International Synergy projects for Tilburg University, KIU and the Dutch Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Professor Oladipo obtained a PhD in Computer Science and was a fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is fellowship alumna of the Heidelberg Laureate Foundation, the Institute of Analytics and Data Science, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and the University of Oxford. In addition, she is a member of several local and international professional and scientific associations.
