Biography

Dr Ruth Aluko is a researcher at the Distance Education Unit at the University of Pretoria. She oversees the quality of the institution's open distance learning programmes and facilitates training and workshops. Her research areas include quality management of open and distance education programmes, mobile learning, access, social justice, programme evaluation, student support and teacher professional development.

At eLearning Africa 2023, Dr Ruth Aluko will discuss her research on teachers’ digital literacy experience, and the importance of continually aligning the teacher education curriculum with a country’s skills needs.
