Biography

An accountant by training, Ms FALL Fatou DIOP has 24 years' experience in inclusive finance. As Director of a credit union, she developed expertise in the administrative, financial and accounting management of decentralised financial systems (DFS), as well as in credit operations. She then acted as a consultant to a number of SFDs in the sub-region for Aquadev from 2005 to 2008, and then for Développement international Desjardins (DID) in its West Africa Regional Office (BRAO) from 2009. In recent years, she has carried out a number of technical assistance assignments as part of projects funded by donors and development partners in several African countries, including Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea Conakry, Chad and Cameroon. Ms FALL has taken a number of specialised training courses, including certification as a trainer for the CGAP financial education modules. She has developed and delivered financial education programmes for the targets of development projects and programmes, enabling them to access local financial services and develop income-generating activities to improve their living conditions.
