Biography
Esther Wanyana works with the Universal Service and Access Fund at the Uganda Communications Commission, Uganda’s communications regulator. She designs and coordinates the implementation of ICT infrastructure projects across different sectors, including Education, Health, Telecommunications to bridge the digital gap in the unserved and underserved areas.
Esther brings nine years’ experience working on sustainable ICT solutions for education. She coordinated a team that developed the Holistic eLearning platform for secondary schools in Uganda, aimed at building schools' capacity to provide access to quality educational content accessible to schools in the rural underserved areas.
Esther holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University, Uganda and a Postgraduate diploma in Project planning and management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI) and a Master’s in Communication Management at the University of Rwanda.
