Biography
Dr Edephonce Nfuka is a seasoned ICT expert and academician with over two decades of experience in industry, academia, and the public sector. He is an educator in computer science, currently serves as Director of Consultancy and Outreach Services and Coordinator of ICT/AI initiatives under the UNESCO Chair in Teacher Education and Curriculum at the Open University of Tanzania (OUT). He previously served as Deputy Managing Director of the University of Dar es Salaam Computing Centre (UCC) and as Director of the Institute of Educational and Management Technologies at OUT. He holds a PhD in IT Governance from Stockholm University, an MSc in Software Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain, and a BSc in Automatic Engineering from CUJAE, Havana, Cuba. He has led numerous digital transformation projects across Africa, including in education, health, and government. He is widely published and committed to harnessing technology for digital learning, governance, health, and transformation.
