Biography
Dr Dorothée Danedjo Fouba is a senior multimedia journalist, media education engineer, teacher, and blogger with a wealth of experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields and Media and Information Literacy (MIL). She has earned significant recognition, including being ranked among the Top 10 best TechWomen in the world by the Anita Borg Institute and the IIE-International Institute of Education as part of Grace Hopper 2015.
Dr Fouba has also made notable contributions as a mentor, guiding individuals in STEM fields and MIL, and was a former Mozilla Representatives Mentor and Technovation Regional Ambassador. In 2016, she and her team of five Cameroonian teenage girls, "Angels Tech of Africa," won the Technovation Honorable Mention in Silicon Valley for two impactful projects focused on parent-child support relationships in conflict zones affected by Boko Haram terrorism and sustainable development.
Since 2020, she has been leading a digital media campaign to educate the Cameroonian public through eSTEMate, an e-learning and fact-checking platform. Dr Fouba holds a PhD in social sciences and international relations, which she will defend at the Protestant University of Central Africa in 2024. She has over 20 years of professional practice in ICT and web technologies.
