Biography
Doris Korda is the Chief Executive Officer of the Korda Institute for Teaching, a non-profit organisation renowned for transforming schools around the world. Her innovative teaching methods and school transformation frameworks—adopted in institutions from the United States to Kazakhstan—have empowered thousands of students and educators with critical skills, deep learning, and impactful community engagement.
For over a decade, Korda has trained teachers and school leaders across urban and rural contexts, in both public and private institutions globally. Prior to her 26-year career in education, she spent 15 years as a systems engineer turned tech entrepreneur—developing systems for AT&T Bell Laboratories and contributing to the growth of a small network business into a publicly traded company valued at $1 billion.
Korda has designed and launched two pioneering schools that optimise individual student growth for the demands of today’s world. She has also supported hundreds more in reimagining teaching and learning through her comprehensive, systems-based approach to educational innovation.
