Biography
Eric Balangtaa brings over 15 years of expertise in Education, inclusive and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on digital transformation in education. He coordinated the UNESCO–Korean “ICT Transforming Education in Africa” initiative, shaping Ghana’s ICT in Education Policy, teacher competency frameworks, and digital skills training for over 2,000 teachers and educators.
Currently, Eric leads UNICEF Ghana’s Digital Education Portfolio, advancing initiatives such as the Ghana Learning Passport, GPE Tech4Ed, and the Learning Pioneers Programme. His expertise spans Evaluating digital learning solutions, AI for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and capacity-building, while his mentorship of EdTech startups fosters innovation and sustainability in Ghana’s education sector.
